#STAPHORSTERVROUWTJE ๐Ÿ˜ Recently I took behind the Isala Diaconessenhuis photo below. Instead of a bike ride it was a walking tour this time. Walking along there, I came in a conversation with Mrs. Wanderer. H from Staphorst. She was standing in her pasture and looking at the pinkies. Her bike was a little further away. Talking, she asked me about my age and told her that I was over 65, and she asked me how many years she was. I said wisely (afterwards) that you should never judge or estimate a lady by age. Then she told me that she was 79 years old and was still on a bike from Staphorst and had looked at the pinks. I said, โ€œYou are still at the pinks, given the course of our conversation. As a result, I got permission to take a picture of her.
Now a few weeks later I still think of the 2 sentences: to be the pinks and well โ€œat the pinksโ€!
Being with the pinks means โ€œbeing smart and handyโ€, โ€œbeing conceived and fast of understanding.โ€ Being at the pinks early means: 'being awake early, ''being alert early.' Pink' here probably goes back to Pinke, a word from Rotwelsch that meant money.

At The Pinks Or To The Pinks?
