Automation is so incredibly important! Especially for the children who find this boring and far too easy.
In that respect, I speak from experience, I have two very smart girls, who find out later in life that they have not automated. The 'simple' sums and the tables are now very difficult.
In the style of the 2022 Children's Book Week with the theme Gi-Ga-Green, I created a worksheet for The Number of the Day.
Every day, a number is chosen, which fills in the worksheet. If children find it difficult to do that “out of their head”, give them counting cubes, or print out the help cards. If you plasticize them and cut them loose, they can provide help to the children for a long time.
