Op de website van het Nederlands Grammofoon Genootschap kwam ik een leuk fenomeen tegen: de grammofoonplatenautomaat. Achter de raampjes bevonden zich geen kroketten, maar 45-toeren singles. “Koop uw grammofoonplaat uit de automaat”, was de slogan.

Deze foto is in 1960 genomen bij de platenzaak op de hoek van de meent, tegenover het pannenkoekenhuis in Rotterdam.

I was not aware of this, and I am not sure if it was available in my native country (Argentina) in the 60', I will read more about it, I love vintage tools, thanks for sharing such a great post!

I'm getting old, yes i had a record player and a small amount of records ;-) I can not remember the machine. Nowadays the selling machines (for other stuff) is still in use.
