My positive texts
I was on a visit to Alkmaar, because I also like to visit places: don´t get me wrong, I prefer visiting people, but now and then I see people are a little tired, and I feel afraid they don´t have patience to me. I don´t like to impose myself, so I simply go to a city instead.
Up until now, the visits have been just for pleasure, quite a wonderful pleasure. But someone (I won´t say his name because he doesn´t want to), used this habit of mine in a different perspective;
I mean, he gave me a job. Not for long, in fact it only lasted four days. But it was intense. In those four days, I had to learn many things about three players and the coach of the AZ, a football club from, exactly, Alkmaar. I had one day to each one. To study them and write something positive and encouraging.
I didn´t meet any of them, but I had to read from top to bottom documents provided me about the personalities of those four: Pascal Jensen, the coach, Marco Bisot the goalkeeper that prevented every goal, Jesper Karlsson who made the first goal and Teun Koopmeiners who provided the second one. I had to study them, and, in possession of the profiles, write something really cool about them, something persuasive, that would motivate them in the game of Sunday. It wasn´t difficult: the four of them seemed to have all the qualities needed.
After writing my texts, I gave them to the person I can´t nominate. I don´t know what happened afterwards. Now that I think of it, I´m not that sure the game result was because of my texts; it´s true that being appreciated tends to bring out the best in us, but… four people? The same effect on all of them?
I'll introduce you to mine 😉
