The move from Diemen to Veenendaal clearly brought about a change in life. No longer going to the school where my father was head... that was some kind of liberation for my little brother and me. Anyway, that's what my parents said later.
The new school was really a new school. The Morgensterschool was just built; and the first day of school was on my 10eBirthday. The class consisted of groups of pupils from various other schools in Veenendaal. The group still had to be formed; and that had its advantages for me as a newcomer.
Fifth and Sixth Grade
The first year I was in a mixed 5e/6eclass. After all, the number of pupils at school had to grow. That happened over the decades afterwards. But this first year it was still a (quite) small school.
