Super easy to make and also good to do together with children. I made this bag with my little girl. Sewing is not necessary (but, of course, can). Really, it's squeaking in no time!

What do you need?



  • old pants (in this example I used the favorite pants of my daughter who had become too small.
  • Something to make a handle with (I still had an old sports bag where I reused the handle of)
  • side (or a piece of fabric) to make sure that the front is flush with the back)
  • studs
  • applications (but you can also make yourself from fabric or take them off other old too small clothes)
  • glue gun!!!! (as said sewing is also possible but I have no patience for that)
  • possible patch of fabric for the inside
  • scissors


How do you handle it?


  • First of all, cut the trouser legs to about 1 - 2 cm below the crotch.
  • Turn the pants inside out and glue the fabric together with the glue gun at the level of the cross. Press the glue with, for example, a blade. Note: the glue is hot so do not press your fingers, especially not let children do this.
  • Turn the pants again so that the outside is out again. Measure how long the handle should be and cut it 2 cm longer.
  • Glue the ends to the inside of the pants (which is already a bag)
  • Measure the length of the lace (or possibly the fabric), cut it to the right size and glue it to the inside with the glue gun.
  • Apply the studs and possibly the applications and your bag is ready for use.
  • If you want to provide the bag with a lining, it is best to turn the bag inside out again. Measure the inside and cut the lining from a piece of fabric. NB. Measure from front to back then there will be no seam at the bottom of the bag that can break. Also make sure that you cut the fabric 1 cm wider so that you can turn it over (you can also glue this cover with glue gun). Glue the lining to the cover in the bag. Let dry and your bag with lining is ready!
