Banks and law firms continue to facilitate the oil and gas industry
Despite their promises, Dutch banks will continue to finance fossil companies. Despite nice words, law firms in the Zuidas do not take responsibility either. This way, the billions will continue to flow unhindered into the oil and gas industry.
NG Bank and ABN Amro help the fossil industry to tens of billions Since the signing of the Paris Climate Agreement, banks have helped bring more than a thousand billion euros in fossil securities to market. Despite the promise to make the economy climate neutral by 2050, Dutch banks also contributed. ING helped the fossil industry to 832 billion euros, ABN Amro to 424 billion euros.
