I made one last year. But our cat had caught him many times. Somehow our cat adores chenille thread figurines. Also the chenille wire spiders I had were favorite. I kept grabbing the bee, I put it back somewhere, and a few days later I saw him walking with my bee again. It has become a little crumpled, so not so beautiful anymore to photograph..

Today I, following the National Bee Count that's why only 3 new and fresh bees made, it was so squeaky! So I have already counted 3 bees, and I will fill out on my bee count form:)

Method:

  • Take 2 chenille threads, roll them around a pen and slide it off the pen.
  • Punch the bead at the bodice. This can be done with a little glue, but it also stays in place without glue.
  • Puncture the antennae into the upper hole of the bead.
  • Form wings of 1 black chenille thread and twist it once between the bodice
  • Stick eyelets, draw nose and mouth with a waterproof marker.
