#history In Paris, on December 28, 1895, August and Louis Lumière, pioneers of technology, projected moving images to the public. His cinematograph - a milestone in the history of cinema - made it possible. It marked the beginning of “living photographs”. It is known in detail what happened on the night of December 28, 1895, in the hall of the Boulevard des Capucines in Paris, however, there is not a single photograph of that exciting and historic moment. The brothers August and Louis Lumière were too busy presenting, in front of a room of people who had paid to see it, the innovative technique of the “Cinematograph” .
Some 33 people had attended; the small number disappointed their inventors a little. We must not forget that what they had announced with posters all over Paris was a global sensation. However, what was experienced during the presentation in that room - originally billiards - was a success. The public saw for the first time the moving images of the short film “Leaving the Lumière Factory”
