Bell pepper tidbits and warnings!
Hey,
This blog is about bell pepper. It may sound really weird, but it seemed interesting to write about somehow. Also just because I like paprika very much and there's quite a lot to tell about it. So here are some tidbits:
- Columbus brought the paprika plants to Europe after his discovery of America.
- The bell pepper is directly related to the chili pepper.
- The paprika plant belongs to the nightshade family.
- The green bell pepper is an unripe fruit that turns red when ripe.
- The red bell pepper contains double the amount of vitamin C as green peppers.
- The best known colours for peppers are red, green and yellow, but there are also orange, black, purple, purple, white, mint green and brown peppers.
- Peppers are better not stored in the refrigerator, but at a temperature of 10 to 13 degrees.
- Peppers are very healthy. They contain a lot of vitamins and minerals and as good as no calories.
- Eating paprika counteracts infections and helps protect against a number of nasty diseases. Peppers also contain the rare B vitamin PQQ, which plays an important role in fertility.
- Paprika is a versatile vegetable and can be combined with a lot of.
- The seeds in the peppers are better not to eat, a few can't hurt a lot, but if you ingest a large number of them every day, it is toxic and harmful to health.
- Of all types of peppers, the orange bell pepper has the softest taste, is juicier and fresh as a thirst quencher.
- Paprika allergy almost never occurs. Some people who have pollen allergy are also susceptible to peppers due to allergic cross reactivity.
- 1 bell pepper contains three times as much vitamin C as 1 orange.
- Paprika also contains a lot of fiber, which is good for the intestines, if you have sensitive intestines it is better to remove the skin, you will have much less trouble.
- Paprika also contains beta-carotene, which is converted by the body into vitamin A, which is good for the defenses. They are low in calories, 26 to 48 per 100 grams, 91% of water, which makes them good to eat raw as a snack if you want to lose weight. They contain 0% fat and no cholesterol, and in addition to the vitamins mentioned, vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B11 and D. To minerals, paprika contains Calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, iron, copper and zinc.
- The chequered peppers of green, orange, yellow color are popular. But in the meantime, there are also pointed peppers that are full of flavour but not too peppery (and not very expensive either)!). These pointed peppers are sweeter than their chequered contemporaries and do not contain seed lists.
- The more the bell pepper shines and the brighter the color of the bell pepper is, the more vitamins it contains.
- Peppers are among the most sprayed vegetables. If you are allergic to paprika, this could very well be due to the pesticides. But therefore the peppers were especially good, because pesticides are very chemical and bad for health.
Well this was it again I hope you enjoyed reading, now you know all about peppers:)

Ik heb net je stukje gelezen over paprika s vond het zeer intressant.
Wij hebben zelf een groentetuin en gebruiken geen bestrijdings middelen.
Eigen kweek voor ons is dat de beste keuze.
