It is native to South America, the Plantae kingdom, and Portulacaceae family, this plant thrives on semi-fertile or even sandy soils. It does not need constant watering and will always maintain the abundant flowering as well as its coloration, even in very sunny seasons and in drought. It can be sown by seeds or by burying part of its stems which will form roots that will give another plant. Purslane family like this is an edible plant with valuable nutritional contents, it helps to improve circulation and cardiovascular functioning due to its high value in Omega 3, it has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antibacterial, diuretic, purifying properties, helps reduce the effect of free radicals, improves the menstrual cycle.
