Better sleep you can learn
The brain itself determines when it goes to sleep, not us.. Sleep is indispensable for the brain. All that resistance to lying awake inadvertently nourishes sleep problems. So when you spend half the night watching how long you've been tossing, it's time to learn how to sleep again.
Most people who have trouble sleeping invest a lot of time, effort and money in solving the problem, but Dr. Guy has discovered that the secret is not in what you do, but in what you learn not to do. In fact, as you will have found out, the more frustrated you become, serves only to push the sleep further away.
1: Wanting to control your sleep is pointless
2:Long lying awake is not very
3: Your own reaction makes a bad sleeper out of you
4: Keep regular times without being too strict
5:Focus on your life, the insomnia will become less
Dr. Guy Meadows explains why we might pay the price for a bad sleep for our mental health, well-being, productivity and even our waist. Understand how sleep interacts with hunger hormones that regulate appetite. And learn more about the direct connection between how we sleep and how we feel, how bad sleep can affect our mood and outlook on life. And learn how the numerous skills we rely on at work and in our daily lives can be influenced by how we sleep!
Can you do three nights without sleep?
Do you know anyone who regularly makes a night? To the test, YouTuber and adventurer Govert Sweep took on the challenge in the name of science. We challenged him together with the 14 Universities of the Netherlands not to sleep for 3 days. Scientists Marijtje Jongsma and Boris Konrad of Radboud University investigated what that did to his brain. Do you think Govert will last?
