Harry Styles (born February 1, 1994) is a singer-songwriter who joined the boy band One Direction after he was eliminated as a solo participant in the British music competition program X Factor. With four band members, he became part of one of the greatest boy bands of all time. Harry Styles released his first solo single in April 2017.

Harry Styles was born in Redditch, Worcestershire, England. His father worked in finance. His family moved to Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, England, where he grew up and went to school. Harry Styles's parents divorced when he was seven and his mother remarried. He has an older sister and a stepbrother. During his school days he was the lead vocalist for a band called White Eskimo, who won a competition for local bands.
