Birds with coloured pencil
After my 10-day challenge with watercolor, it was time to do something else. Not knowing what I started looking at on the internet for inspiration and suddenly came across a nice free crayons workshop on Facebook with the subject of a robin. You know by now that I love birds, so my interest was aroused.
As I continued reading, I found out that the workshop is a fun initiative of the Belgian hobby chain Lucas Creativ. They created a special facebook group during the lock down, where they present a free workshop every fourteen days by different workshop teachers and work with different materials. The workshop will continue to be seen for another week after the live evening.
Last week's workshop was the robin signed by Julia Woning. It went super fast, but was fun to do. Especially since she taught me really new things about dealing with crayons. The workshop was given with a special kind of pencils, but I used my own brand and that went fine too.
After the workshop I got the tip from Julia to put more layers on top of each other to make it even fuller in colour. I myself was critical of plumage. And because it was so much fun to do, I made another robin, but now without any time pressure from the live workshop
