That I fell in love with Iceland will not surprise you, I have written about it several times.

One of the nicer (but also dangerous) places in Iceland is Black Beach.

Black beach is a beach, the name says it all, that you will find in southern Iceland, near Vík í Mýrdal, in short: Vík.

Vík is about the extreme point that you do when you drive the golden circle route in Iceland in a few days.

Mooie, speciale plek. Een vulkaan onder een gletsjer...
Zwart zand ken ik wel, ik bezocht ook al enkele vulkanische gebieden, waar het strand van donkerbruin, roodbruin tot zwart kleurde.

Ik had nog nooit van deze bijzondere plek gehoord... prachtig en speciaal... en wat een leuk idee om er dan een hanger van te maken... heel erg mooi...

Amazing place! And your photos and descriptions do it justice! Iceland is a place I would love to visit one day. Funny, because I also just shared a post including a black sand beach, though mine was in New Zealand and the grains of sand were smaller and not as intensely black as these. But still an incredible first-time experience. 🙂
