Do you like popcorn so much? Then you'll know that it's easy to make popcorn yourself, just in the microwave. The book Bob Popcorn (publishing house Querido, suitable for 7+) is about a corn man named Bob. A super fun book, of which you will also find a craft tip below!
Ellis loves popcorn very much, she makes it in the microwave every day. But one day something strange happens. One of the corn kernels does not puff, but swells until it is the size of a kiwi. Two arms pop out and two legs. Ellis stares at the grain, which now has a face with which he looks back furiously... the corn male is Bob, and is not an easy type. He does not sleep, eats an incredible amount and is rather moody. After a while, Ellis gets tired of it. Bob has to leave, but where do you put a giant live popcorn with tantrums? A funny and imaginative story for something trained readers, with lots of illustrations. Written by Maranke Rinck and illustrated by Martijn van der Linden.
Part 2 (The Popcorn Spy) is out now too!

The Bob below is made of 1 egg box, yellow and brown paint (with tassel), scissors, stapler, black marker and glue. That's all!

Save the template and print it from the saved folder to A4

From the flat lid you cut the bodice in half, then the arms and the legs, which you stick between the bodice and not fasten.

The cowboy hat is cut from 2 points and 6 eggplaces. Cut off the tips and the edge of the hat a piece.

Make a slot in the middle of the hat (bottom) so that the bodice can be pushed between it.

Paint yellow/orange bodice and the hat brown

Draw the mouth with a marker

Stick a clothespin on the back and let the glue dry well

Draw a popcorn tray any way you like or write your own name on it

Slide the hat on the bodice

Of course you do put real popcorn in your popcorn cup, otherwise Bob might get another tantrum!

Clamp Bob with the clothespin on the edge of your cup when it's full of popcorn. Nice to treat to school, during a movie evening or at your cinema party! Bob Popcorn wants to be with everything!
