#BOSWACHTERIJSTAPHORST π Forestry Staphorst of #Staatsbosbeheer is a 940 hectare forest and nature reserve in the eastern part of the municipality #Staphorst , province of Overijssel. It is located in a further agricultural area. The forester is crossed by sandy roads and some motorways. It #staatsbos was built between 1930 and 1940 on poor land by the unemployed from the west of the Netherlands. They were obliged to work there in the context of job provision because of the time of crisis which caused high unemployment. The ultimate goal of forestry was timber production. It grows not only spruce, Japanese larch, douglas spruce, Corsican and Austrian pine trees, but also oak beech and birch. A small part of the area consists of heaths and ponds and lakes created by venification.
In the twenty-first century, the forest was replanted with deciduous trees more varied and natural. Many wild animals are found in the area, such as deer, badgers, squirrels, ransules and vipers.
