Es un plato típico de la cocina Venezolana, que ya estaba presente en al época de la colonia y era una preparación de los indígenas que luego se remoza con un guiso de sabores Españoles, cada estado de Venezuela tiene sus recetas, especificas. Las recetas se basan en un bollito de masa de maíz relleno de guiso de carne o pollo, que se hierve y se saca del agua, se coloca en el plato se baña en una salsa de tomate aderezada.
El bollito Maracucho se diferencia por el relleno que por lo general siempre es carne molida, y el pollo desmechado.
Ingredientes.
Carne por lo general molida, u pollo desmechado.
Harina de maíz.
Tomates.
Cebollín.
Para la salsa.
Orégano, pimienta, sal, cebolla rayada y alcaparras (opcional)
