Last weekend, there was a nice bonsai exhibition at Poeke's stately castle in Aalst in East Flanders.

The castle has a rich history that dates back to the 12th century. Over the centuries, the castle has been renovated and expanded several times. The current castle dates mostly from the 19th century, but it still has elements dating back to the Middle Ages.

In this setting, Bonsaiclub “De Leie” exhibited its masterpieces.

Workshops and demonstrations, such as here by renowned bonsai master Nic Rozman, were attentively attended.
