The bridge, manufactured by the German firm Lofnomafld, from Hamburg, and built by the Venezuelan construction company Moviterra — Excavaciones y Riego, CA. (engineer Alberto Díaz González), is 630 meters long, a road 8 meters wide with sidewalks on both sides 60 centimeters wide, a height of 27.4 meters, resting on 5 semicircular arches of 112 meters of light each.
Its construction began on March 12, working in three shifts 24 hours a day, finishing it in just ten months.

The day of its inauguration was considered a model of international architecture and engineering and was highlighted by the newspaper Nacional3, highlighting its length - never before achieved - of 630 meters, the largest built in the country. “. and considered to be the most important work of its kind that has been carried out so far on this continental highway”.
