Broken (dog) nail
Ai, yes also dogs can (break down) their nail. This is how we found out last summer (2020). Jax was jumping into the tall grass and suddenly I heard a cry of hellish pain. It seemed like Jax was screaming and the sound was going through marrow and bone. Jax came out of the bushes, strummed with his leg up and I saw that there was an awful lot of blood with his paw. The first thing I thought was that a nail, piece of glass or something else had gone sharply right through his leg. Tried to look at his paw right away, but this didn't allow Jax. Immediately I walked home to see the injury there. Arrived at home, fortunately, the bleeding had stopped. Jax didn't allow me to get to his paw. Because the bleeding had stopped by now, we decided to take a look at it, Jax also walked back to normal on his leg. Three days later, I suddenly saw that his paw was bleeding again. Now I was allowed to look at his paw and found that one of his nails was completely broken. It looked pretty painful, as you see in the picture. Immediately I called the vet and that same day we were still able to go. The nail was taken out in its entirety by the veterinarian under anaesthesia. Another adventure richer for our chunks pilot.
