Busy at Beukerssluis in the summer months:

#SLUISBEUKERS 😍 In the summer months many people “perish” themselves on the fence of the boats in the Beukers' lock near the Blue Hand. The lock of Beukers is located in the sailing route of Steenwijk/ #Giethoorn to Zwartsluis. Beukerssluis Note: The Beukerssluis is the coordination centre for Northwest Overijssel. You need to register at this lock from 1 November to 1 April if you want to use on-call operation of the bridges and locks in Northwest Overijssel. Inland vessels must report for registration in IVS90. The telephone number of lock Beukers is: 038 499 71 00. • To fence you must be at the lock 15 minutes before closing time otherwise you can no longer participate in the fence process • The bridges operated by the province of Overijssel are not operated from wind force 7 Beaufort.
