On the government website I read this;

“My child's school or childcare is closed. Do I have the right to #calamiteitenverlof - What?

Emergency leave can be used to arrange the care of your child. The leave lasts as long as you need to do so. That could be a few hours and a few days at most. The wages will be paid during the emergency leave. '

Ok. A few hours and at most a few days you can claim emergency leave. What about the rest of them? Schools close until April 6th. The #kinderopvang is closed.

I understand that the costs of childcare have to be paid. But making money to pay for these costs seems useful to me.

For people in vital professions, childcare is facilitated.
But what about the rest?

Er wordt van uitgegaan dat je thuis kunt werken als je niet in de lijst beroepen zit die wel een beroep mag doen op kinderopvang.

@Marjolein dat is leuk bedacht, maar als dat zou kunnen hadden veel mensen nooit opvang nodig gehad. De buurvrouw die in de horeca werkt kan niet thuis werken.. een vriendin die op een klantenservice werkt kan thuis geen werk doen met 3 kinderen die ook... Show more
