Like all other catering establishments, Café De roze elephant must believe. Owner Dirk rushes to reverse the word parasites, to nuance his reaction. But he sucks as a plug in the measures in the fight against the coronavirus.
De naam van zijn café roept om een uitleg. Dirk does not look very pink with his macho appearance and the tattoos on his arms, so to speak. But Dirk likes to give that explanation.
“When I opened this café, I was just back from South Africa,” he begins his explanation. “There I had made beautiful pictures of elephants. And my 6-year-old daughter's standard word was “pink.”. So I called my cafe The Pink Elephant.”
