Camini 4: The Route of Meeting Yourself

A camini is a 'mini camino', or a very short pilgrimage experience. In Limburg they have set up 11 caminis for those who like to walk and combine that with a pilgrimage experience. Since we can't cross the borders by Covid19, this is a nice alternative. These pilgrimage walks are all along the original Jacobs Route and are specially designed for contemplation and awareness by means of spells and assignments, just like walking to Santiago.

Why 11 routes?

Anyone who walks a piece of the Jacob path may feel connected to religion and/or spirituality in the broadest sense of the word. The number 11 is a so-called master number. Master numbers are special numbers that are said to affect your life path, according to the science of number theory. Each figure, according to the ancient Egyptians, contains an energetic force. Thus, the number 11 would be about staying close to yourself and following the intuition.

@LWAlmanak the nice thing about these reflection routes is that you really walk in quiet areas and I love that.

@Rudi Thank you, the light was really good that day. Is definitely worth it. The routes vary in length but I like to walk at least 10 km so I make the shorter ones longer but if that is too long then you can also walk the regular routes.
