Can elephants jump?
They are and remain beautiful animals, the elephants. Elephants weigh between 1500 and 7000 kilos depending on the species. Very earlier in evolution, elephants probably lived underwater. That was before they became real terrestrial animals. They are still super good swimmers. The elephants can use their trunk as a snorkel. So they can stay underwater for a long time, if they would like.

Elephants can't jump. If they did, they would break their paws when they came down, because they are overweight! However, despite their weight, they can run very well, sometimes up to 40 kilometers per hour!
Of course, elephants are also very smart and they are social animals. They share food and water with each other, even when there is little to eat or drink, they share it honestly! That's unbelievable? With their great memory (that's really not a myth), they always find their way back and recognize family. They stroke and hug each other then!

It has also been shown that if they find tusks or bones of a dead elephant, they know who it belongs to. They then show their respect and stroke their trunk over the remains of the dead elephant. that almost gives you the jitters, so mighty beautiful.Â
