Can you predict how someone will come out of a coma?
During a coma, someone is unconscious. The brain can be damaged as a result. You only know how serious that damage is when someone wakes up. Or not? With the research by Michel van Putten (University of Twente), he can make a good prediction of how they will come out of the coma for 50 to 60 percent of people in a coma within 24 hours. And the first thing he needs to do to do this is make a brain video with the patient as soon as possible.

After a week of coma, the doctor also predicted the chances of winning that our daughter would wake up. That was 50% and it worked!

What would really scare me is that conscious “Locked-In Syndrome”. Then you are in a coma from the outside world, but you are inwardly aware. You feel everything, hear everything, etc. but it's impossible to respond.
