Carpenter Bird

Known as the Carpenter Bird, his name is Carpenter Habado, Melanerpes rubricapillus
Nests in a hole in a dead tree or large cactus.
Measures approx 20cm long They have a white back with black similar to the color of zebras, white wings and thighs. The tail is black with some white and the underparts pale brown with a red crown, tends to peck the chaguaramos trees and coconut palms. In search of food, if you can hear they communicate with each other. I think there are several in this beautiful and special place on the shores of Lake Maracaibo. #venezuelachallenge   #Venezuela
