Cows prefer Beethoven over the Beatles. They just get relaxed by the calming beat, psychologists at the University of Leicester in the UK claim, who say exposing cattle to slow music increases milk yield.

Music researchers Adrian North and Liam MacKenzie tested the effects of music on 1000 Holstein cattle at two dairies. They spent 9 weeks of fast (more than 120 beats per minute), slow (less than 100 beats per minute), or no music from 5 to 17 hours each day.
