Cartagena Colombia

Cartagena was always one of the cities in the literary heart of Gabo and the development of his life, as were other places in Colombia and abroad.

On a large corner plot, located opposite the Sofitel Legend Santa Clara Hotel in the walled city, the already then Nobel Prize for Literature ordered to build a huge coral-colored house with high walls, designs by architect Rogelio Salmona.

There he spent the months before his return to Mexico City, where soon after he died on April 17, 2014.
