My childbirth story.

December 27, 2018 I was 38 weeks and 1 day pregnant and then it started.

Thursday 27 December at 20:00 I decided together with my mother that it was time to start making a plaster print of my belly. I got this package that Christmas, by the way. After we had made a beautiful impression of my convex belly I was of course full of dried plaster dung from my shoulders to my toes. So I decided to go shower (this was around the clock of 21:00 hours). There I was in the shower washing myself clean when I lost little bits of my mucus plug and started to feel the first cramps. After I had quietly showered further I got out of the shower and told my mother, I think it started. I then had until 22:30 light for contractions after which I slept well at night and didn't bother anymore.

The next morning (28-12-2018) the pre-contractions only started around the clock of 10:00. My mother then, at my insistence, called the obstetrician at 14:30 and asked if they wanted to come by. My contractions were still very irregular and not at all painful so the obstetrician said I'll come in about an hour to see if you have any access. She came around 4:00 a.m. and then had 1/2 cm of unlockable. At that moment she told me that her schft stopped at 5:00 and a colleague of hers would take over, and yes I just got a vk I hadn't met yet... hmmm just t the one I didn't want. At 17:00 came the midwife I hadn't met yet and who would help me bring my daughter safely into this world. She introduced herself nicely and then started to feel how far I was in terms of accessibility and yes I already had 3/4 cm of access. At that moment, she told me she was going to break my water. What went through my head then was seriously SHIT IS GREAT REAL OMG. Just before she broke my water she explained to me that after about 1 to 1.5 hours after the membranes were broken we would go to the hospital because they charge 1 hour per cm of access.

Then the moment was there at 17:15 hours my membranes were artificially broken, but instead of 1cm per hour it went from light contractions to direct extreme contractions and there was no 2/3 min between but 30 sec and it lasted 1 min long. I then decided together with the midwife to go straight to the hospital because my contractions immediately became so strong and quickly came after each other, that it was better to go immediately before I couldn't walk anymore because yes guys I still had to take the stairs down and in the car to the hospital (which fortunately only 5 min drive was but what a hell of a ride). We were in the hospital at 17:45 and without pain relief and without screaming our little daughter was born on 28-12-2018 at 18:53. She weighed 3005 grams and was 48.5 cm tall.

What a journey (which lasted only 4 hours) it was to get you in my arms has been worth all the pain little princess. Now you are almost 1 year old. We love you little princess.
