Chilling during fieldwork
I didn't take this picture myself. I am the subject of the picture, since I am the one lying there between the rocks.
In 2013 I did an internship in South Africa. I was investigating the spread of scorpions there. This photo was taken by a co-intern. She did the same thing I did, but spread butterflies. Difference has to be there, haha.
I didn't find this photo until I exchanged the photos. I didn't know this was made. I'm just lying here in my underwear, by the way. Just undress, take a fresh dip and then wash dry again quickly enough.
During a day in the field, with a lot of climbing in the mountains, it was nice to chill in and near the waterfall on the way back. I am lying here in a place where the waterfall falls further down, but that is just outside the picture. Not the safest place, but the best place.
Ideal moment of rest.
