Chris is delighted. He assumes that the flesh-eating plant may contain unprecedented substances that can be used against Malaria. Of course, he's not into that.

He wants to take the plant to Brazil, where he lives, research it thoroughly and try it out on his laboratory mice first. Those mice have been cared for by his colleague for six months now. Actually, he does love those mice.He also finds it really terrible every time that he has to put them in a situation where they become terribly ill. Just to see if drugs actually benefit from curing them.

Because he loves his animals, they just sit in a big room where they can find everything they need.He knows that's why his colleagues think he's quite a crazy Professor. But he doesn't care about that. His friend and colleague has promised him that he will take care of the mice as well as he has always done for six months.

Chris is also glad that he was able to work his way up and that he is now in charge of the lab.

He regularly calls his best friend to see if everything is going well in the lab, and then he always inquires about the mice. His friend has temporarily taken over the management of him. Chris also trusts him one hundred percent. He has known him since preschool and they have both completed the entire course package, including the University. He misses his friend, too.
