After all the media attention on Christmas trees for the alpacas, all employees and volunteers had to go to work to pick everything up.
We drove around with two combinations for three days to pick up the bare trees in Walcheren. Partly in the rain, but on Friday, the weather was nice enough to drive with the convertible roof open.
Fortunately, many people also came to bring the trees themselves, and we all had a chat and showed the alpacas and told us something about our rescues. In total, we have three huge stacks of trees and a whole strip of trees with root ball. We lost count, because when driving our laps to people who had emailed us, we were approached several times by local residents to see if their tree could also go along.

It's not always easy to drive a trailer through narrow streets and avoid dead ends.
In Vrouwenpolder, we gambled wrong and the road was closed and we were no longer able to run. Then remove the trailer and turn it around by hand.

The first trees that were gnawed!
