Charles Darwin, y su ejemplar descubrimiento.

Charles Darwin hizo parte de sus investigaciones en las Islas Galápagos, de las cuales veinte tienen subespecies únicas que demuestran la adaptación a un entorno único.

Algunos de los estudios se centraron en las orquídeas, con las que Darwin se dio cuenta que las versiones más complejas buscaban atraer los insectos, y que cada especie atraía a uno en particular.

A partir de este descubrimiento Darwin creó la teoría de la selección natural.
