Kāda ir atšķirība starp īsu tonnu, garu tonnu un tonnu?

Īss tonna

ASV tonis ir pazīstams arī ar nosaukumu īsu tonnu. Tātad viena īsā tonna ir 2000 mārciņas. Amerikas Savienotās Valstis nekad nepiekrīt metriskajai sistēmai lietu mērīšanai. Tāpēc mums ir jāatceras, ka mūsu valsts izmanto parastās vienības.

Garā tonna

Apvienotā Karaliste mērījumiem izmanto metriskās sistēmas un vecākās Imperial sistēmas kombināciju. Tātad tas skaidri parāda, ka viņi mēra masu dažreiz kilogramos un citreiz vienībās, ko sauc par akmeņiem.
Tonnu, kas tiek izmantots Imperial pasākumos, ir nedaudz smagāks nekā ASV, tāpēc Apvienotās Karalistes tonnu sauc par garu tonnu. 1 garš tonna ir 2240 mārciņas.
