Climbing to Passage du Dérochoir

What is a herbist looking for high in the mountains? There are no more plants there! We are on our way to the Passage du Dérochoir snow and rocks, a lot of snow this year and yet, just below the snow, we find blooming white coltsfoot. High in the mountains, the plants need to grow quickly and bloom. After all, the season is short. And yes, I come not only for the plants, but especially for nature, the frightening nature, for snow, fog, rocks, ice and effort. With your body in the landscape!

The Passage du Dérochoir, the name says it all, a passageway that was once uncliffed, boulders loosened from the ridge. The main importance of the masse et des éboulis, toujours actifs.

Via Ferrata

The ultimate climb to the crest is equipped with cables and ladders, a real via ferrata. The iron path ensures that hikers can also reach the col. On the other hand, meters of snow await us, undoable to descend along there. Snow, fog and clouds create an impressive spectacle, clouds and snow form one white blurry mass.
