Closer To Truth: Is Time Travel Possible?

There is an ongoing PBS TV series (with a few books and a website) called "Closer To Truth". Hosted by neurologist Robert Lawrence Kuhn. Revealed in individual interviews and panel discussions with the cream of the cosmologists, physicists, philosophers, theologians, psychologists, etc. in all the Great Questions around the trilogy of the broader topics - Cosmos; Awareness; God. The trilogy collectively dealt with facts, place and time, mind and knowledge, immigrants, theology and so on. Here are a few of my words on one of the most common topics raised - Is time travel possible?

# Is it possible to be late? Actually I personally do not believe that time exists. Change is there, and time is our measure of change. IMHO time is just an idea. Time is the building of the mind that helps us to adapt to change. Some cosmologists say that time was created in the Big Bang, as if time were a matter of principle and structure, but I challenge them to make some time in front of their peers or perhaps TV viewers or at least produce a number of theory or two that can create time. In the meantime, here is a trilogy of points.

First, the concept of time is one of those exciting aspects of physics. Whether it is true or not, it is fun to play the game 'what if'. If nothing else, the idea makes or forces one to think about the reality.

Second, Einstein and others have argued that the passage of time is an imaginary fact and that I am not in their league to argue ideas. I will leave that to others who know the stadium inside and out.

But third, and most importantly, you will never be in the future or in the past, only in the future or in the past compared to where you are and when you are now. In other words, it does not matter how you cut and sell things, you are there - anytime and anytime at any time NOW or in other words right now. You cannot be realistic in any future or in the past as you only experience NOW. If you somehow go back for an hour, you will still have to deal with things that are not NOW. If you sleep for an hour and then wake up, you are in the future related to the time you slept, but you still find yourself in NOW.

# Is it possible to be late? There is another type of fake 'time trip' that can be solved in the future. It is probably the only way you can know what the future holds, without the benefit of any theoretical 'device' that can take you there with a greater degree of knots than one second per second, to stay alive. When you kick - bucket that's it. Your second trip to the next one is over. It is unfortunate that that useless stock you own just happened on a sky-rocket at good prices during the week of your death, or maybe you would like to know if ET exists but the discovery happens a few days too late until you are there. they are worried. Yes, some may say that the afterlife will enable you to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the sky, but beyond that, there are those who claim to have lived in the past or who have been present in the past. Therefore, you can still continue your journey to find out what the future holds by passing on to another body through pregnancy and (and often). There is one major problem however with 'remembering' the lives that are alleged to have passed. Your mother's egg can't remember your past lives. Your father's sperm can't remember your past lives. Therefore, you who are going to be pregnant cannot hold any memories of previous lives. So, where did your memory of past lives come from? I would suggest that it is built on the inside out of desire, that perhaps the belief that you existed in the past will create the belief that you will exist in the future, and as a pseudonym for the afterlife and as a false form. 'timing' that gives you comfort. Still, the concept is a far cry from “time travel” but can still be lost despite the fact that many people seem to believe that 'time is running out' with a view to their endless future.
