Drawing eyes is quite a challenge. Great thing to do, a real study of different eyes. In this blog, a collection of the eyes that I have painted lately. Digital, with a drawing tablet, with Sketchbook Pro as software.

African American Eye
“mom, you shouldn't just make a light complexion”. Good point, and what a challenge to paint what you don't see in the mirror every day. You are really tempted to make it more 'your own'.

“and now two eyes side by side” was the tip I received. That is indeed an extra challenge. They are not the same, but they are a unit.
Asian Eye
“and now maybe a Chinese eye” was the next tip. I started looking for the eye of someone with Asian ancestry. Again, it is difficult to actually explain it clearly.
