#revision The most common faults of a TV
The most common Smart TV faults tend to relate more to the components and electrical circuits of the boards than to software or operating systems (firmware). For example, if any of the LEDs stop working, the image will be affected, leading to a different treatment. It is also convenient to learn how to repair the electronic board, so you can ensure the full operation of the device.

Here are the most common TV faults.

Backlight or backlight faults
Failure in the rear lighting of televisions is a common problem. It is common for devices to lose between 20% and 40% of the brightness of their screens after several years of use. In the same way, the response time of the LEDs degrades and generates wear effects on the screen, which can be perceived as colored spots on the images or on the edges of the figures.

Another common backlight-related failure on a TV is when the receiver turns on but the image disappears instantly. This is usually due to a fault in the inverter circuit responsible for delivering the activation voltage of the panel lamps. Don't forget that the problem can also be caused by another irregularity, such as when one of the LED bulbs stops working or weakens.
Failures in image quality
Solarized image or image with a mosaic effect: usually the problem is found in the T-Con, the board responsible for receiving LVDS signals from the main board and sending them to the screen.
Color bars on the screen: the LVDS connector may be partially disconnected or has broken lines.
Lines in the image: this can occur for several reasons, but the most common is that a column of transistors fails or that the LVDS transfer is irregular.
Burn-in effect: this is the discoloration of an area of the screen or a burnt image effect caused by the aging of the lamps.
Half the screen visible: this is because the panel cable has come loose or is incorrectly connected.
