Concert etiquette for the public.
Be Attentive
Hold your applause during long musical breaks, as well as between the movements of a piano concerto. If you're unsure, wait for the rest of the audience to clap. Keep seats quiet if you need to leave early. This is especially important if the room has solid, auto-closing seats. These seats snap close to the chair as soon as possible and can cause an immediate, echoing distraction. Whatever happens, make sure mobile phones and all media devices are switched to vibrate alone or are turned off! Don't be that person. The distracting sound is a given, but the light of your mobile phone interferes with the people around you. Be attentive to both their musical experience and your own.
