I wrote earlier that I take the basic course encaustic art at Encaustic House , an initiative of Wemke de Jong and Michael Bossom. I'm doing the course for my pleizer, and I'm getting some of it too. My pace is not high, but I don't have to, I have all the time, the course just stays online, and I can join whenever I want.

Lately I was busy with the shop, and now that it is closed I get more room for the basic encaustic. Although I have to say that the corona thing doesn't help me move my mind towards encaustic art. It saves me that I can just work, but still: it also affects my life.

Anyway: yesterday the iron warmed up again, just play. But oh, great frustration, the laundry didn't want what I wanted... learning point: let go!

My good friend Thea, with whom I paint more often, had made flowers with the wax earlier this week, which I thought was very successful, and I wanted to try too. I hadn't worked with the brush before.

The drawing pen has several attachments, including a brush. Now I don't work very often with the drawing pen, and when I do, I usually work with the tip, to draw or write.
