The 33-year-old Ukrainian #influencer Dmitry Stuzhuk died on Saturday from complications caused by the #coronavirus . Stuzhuk, with 1.1 million followers on Instagram, was until he got sick fervent proclaimer of the message that the virus was a hoax. It was only when he had to put on a ventilator in the hospital that he retreated.

According to the British tabloids The Sun and Mirror, the influencer became infected during a trip to Turkey. There he woke up in the morning with a swollen neck and difficulty breathing. After eight days Stuhzuk was allowed to leave the hospital, but shortly thereafter had heart problems and was urgently re-admitted. Once back in the hospital, it was found that the virus had caused complications in the vascular system. He died Saturday. His ex-wife Sofia, who sat at his hospital bed during his illness, announced his death. In doing so, she shared the sad message: “I am so sad that all this time you did not want to listen to me about your health.” The couple had three children together.
