#GRACHTENFESTIVAL 😍 For many years the Grachtenfestival was organized in the 2nd weekend of June in Meppel, However: due to the doronacrisis this festival can NOT take place this year unfortunately. No Shantykoren, no stalls with old crafts etc etc: we have to be patient for 1 year.
Meppel (Drenthe: Möppelt) is a town and municipality in the western part of the Dutch province of Drenthe. On 1 January 2019, the municipality had 33,564 inhabitants (source: CBS), of which more than 28,000 live in the city of Meppel itself. The municipal area is 58 km². Meppel is the smallest municipality of Drenthe.
