Corsica, island full of natural beauty - day 1
July 2 - Early from the springs and by car towards Lille Lesquin Airport (France). There we take a domestic flight towardsBastia, Corsica- Yes.
We have a rental car ready and cross the mountains from the north (Bastia) to the southwest (near - Ajaccio. - Yeah). Corsica is best known for its beautiful coastlines, but it also has impressive mountain landscapes, with the highest peaks of 2 706 m and 2 622 m.
The roads are quite wide and in good condition. They swing right through the sparsely populated mountainous inland.
First stop: the former capital- Corte. - Yeah- Yes. The past of this town goes back to the Middle Ages and that's what you can see!
- Corte. - Yeah is best known for its citadel on the protruding rock, which was converted into a real fortress in 1419. This is the eye-catcher of the city.
