Dwingeloo 🤓 Dwingeloo (Drenthe: Dwingel) is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. On January 1, 2019, the village had 2425 inhabitants, excluding surrounding villages.
It is located northwest of Hoogeveen between Diever/Dieverbrug and Lhee/Lheebroek in. It was an independent municipality, including the neighbourhoods of Westeinde, Eemster, Leggeloo, Lhee and Lheebroek and parts of Gieuwenbrug and Dieverbrug.
The large green green village in the centre of the village is protected against the village. Dwingeloo was named 'greenest village in Europe' in September 2011.
