Counting steps as a hobby
For starters, I do not sport myself, I just do not like sports. But after 4 pregnancies, I would have gained some weight. After the 4th delivery I had set myself the goal to get back on the weight before my first pregnancy. Well, that didn't quite work out. I always stayed 2 kg above it and I must confess that this also took a lot of effort. So a reality check was needed and I decided that the PLUS TWO number would be my ideal weight and that I could give myself a clearance of 4kg (= maximum weight). And in principle, I swung between them neatly. But when I kept fluctuating around the maximum weight for a while last year and I also shot over it I decided that I had to do something. He wasn't going to play sports, and then suddenly I came across an article about Dr. Yoshiro Hatano and that made sense and seemed feasible. I went into it and decided to try it out. With a borrowed pedometer, I went to work. The first week I've just counted what I like I step a week. I was in shock. I thought I'd take a lot of steps in one day, but I often didn't even get to the 6,000 steps. That's when I knew I wanted to take on this challenge with myself. And what a thrill it was to tap the 10,000 steps the first time. And now a year later, it's actually still the case. When I hit the 12,000 or the 15,000, I'm really in a hurrah mood, but this really doesn't always work out.

Why 10,000 steps
The Japanese doctorYoshiro Hatano showed that people who exercise enough daily have better health. He then decided to express the minimum amount of movement per day in the number of steps.Dr. Yoshiro Hatano came to the conclusion that an average person takes about 6,000 steps a day. However, in order to live healthy, there should actually be 10,000 a day. Those 4,000 extra steps correspond to about half an hour of steady walking. (1)
6,000 steps (average number of steps per day) +4,000 steps (30 minutes extra movement) = 10,000 steps (minimum amount of movement per day)
