Crafts with paper straws
Paper strawsare better for the environment and reduce the large plastic waste heap. The plastic straws disappear from the kitchen cabinets and drawers and therefore we prefer to tinker with paper straws. They are available in many fun colors! Today we used the red straws to make a ladybug. With the help of a cardboard beer mat you make it very easy, just look how you do it easily!

Supplies:14 straws (11 whole and 3 cut in half), beer mat, glue (e.g. Creall Coll acrylic glue), scissors, piece of black cardboard and a black marker. Glue the felt completely and stick 11 straws on the felt. The 3 half slices are glued to the side.

Let the whole thing then really take a whiledrying, e.g. 15 minutes. In the meantime, cut 6 legs and 2 antennae. Make the head of the ladybug out of black cardboard. Stick the antennae to the back and stick the eyelets. Only when the glue of the bodice is well dry, you can carefully cut the straws, one by one, while also holding the straws a little while cutting. Flat-pressed openings can be pushed out again with a cocktail stick.

Did you cut the round all the way? Then the beast is almost ready! Put a black chenille thread at the top in a straw, the bottom can be glued to the back. Stick the head to the back and insert the legs into the openings of the straws. Cut the stick straw a bit so that it can be inserted nicely at the bottom. Now you can play with it for example puppet show!
