Cream Punch

Cream punch, typical Venezuelan drink for the Christmas season and any time of the year, made from eggs, condensed milk, spices and liqueur.

ingredients

1 can (395 grams) of condensed milk
1 1/2 cup liquid milk
1 piece of lemon peel
4-5 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
3 egg yolks
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1 cup rum
Freshly grated nutmeg

Preparation
Place condensed milk, liquid milk, lemon peel, cloves and cinnamon in a pot, stir and heat without boiling.

In a small bowl place the yolks and add the teaspoon cornstarch and mix well.

When the milk is hot, add a cup of this mixture to the yolks with cornstarch and mix quickly, this process is known as tempering yolks. Add that mixture of eggs and milk to the rest of the milk and continue cooking over medium heat and stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.

Lower from heat and let cool for a few minutes. Strain the preparation to discard all spices.

Add the rum and stir; try the amount of liqueur you want, add freshly grated nutmeg to taste.

Let cool and pack in glass bottles. Serve cold and enjoy!
