Dining club.

For a few years now, I have been working in the nursing home in a ward with four groups of residents with dementia. In order to allow different residents to come into contact with each other a little more, we have started a dining club for a few weeks now. There are currently five participants and they have already had a nice chat with each other and have discovered that they have many things in common. From, for example, the province where they originate to having the same first name.

To also make the table a bit cozy, we had a tablecloth. But I wasn't completely satisfied with that yet. So I decided to make a personal placemat with all participants, with pictures related to their life history. On Pinterest and in my photo archive, we went to look up everything. And we even used some photos themselves. So those have become completely personal placemats. With some sticky letters, we've put everyone's name on it. (I did make this one unreadable for this blog.)

For example, this lady had a stork visit every day. There we have a photo that she copied from that. And we searched until we found dogs that looked like hers.

She was so happy with the placemat that we lost it immediately.

She had taken him to her room.

This lady comes from the farm, you can see that.

And she can bake delicious apple pies. We hope to taste it soon, we will also have a nice coffee together and that includes cake, says one of the gentlemen. He is good at organizing.

This lady is very proud of her great-great-grandchild

love animals.

There are also two gentlemen.

Well, those aren't crafting at all. So I already got the comment from one person that he was going to ask his daughter to arrange that thing with those pictures. Anyway, I had quickly overcome that resistance when he saw that what I put on the sheet of paper was going to be nice.
